Hi me & my daughter will be staying at the Holiday Inn in Disney Springs in Jan/23 but the pool is closed for maintenance.I called the hotel to see if the other hotels in the area would allow us to use the pool, they said no.Any other options?

    Hi Jenn,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!

So excited to hear that you’ll be coming to the Walt Disney World Resort in the New Year, I’m sure you and your daughter will have a great time!

That’s unfortunate news that your hotel’s pool will be closed during your stay. At this time, guests aren’t able to “pool hop” or use other pools at different resorts. As you noted some off-property Resorts may allow guests to visit other pools of their “sister hotels”, but this isn’t a possibility for Disney Resorts Collection hotels.

In lieu of using your Resort’s pool, maybe look into spending some time at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park. If the weather works for you all, you could purchase a ticket and enjoy the amenities at the Park! There are many attractions and of course a lazy river (Cross Country Creek) and wave pool (Melt-Away Bay).

If you decide to go to Blizzard Beach, after you purchase your ticket, you’re all set for your time at that specific Park. You won’t need a Disney Park Pass reservation like in the other four Theme Parks. Just scan your ticket or MagicBand and you’ll be on your way to some fun in the sun!

I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is useful as you prepare for your upcoming trip. If you have any other planning or vacation questions, please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
