My daughter is special needs and has very short short hair. Would bippity boppity boutique be worth it?

Hi there, Ashlee! I'm so glad you found the second star to the right and followed it straight on to planDisney!

There are so many reasons why The Most Magical Place on Earth feels... well, magical. To me, the real magic is the quality time I get to spend with people I care about, and it sounds like you have plans to do exactly that! I know you're also wondering if Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique would be a good fit for your daughter and I'd love to help you answer that question. First, let me grab my magic wand...

Got it! Ashlee, the Fairy Godmother's Apprentices who create these royal transformations are truly enchanting. Should you decide to make an advance reservation for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, your daughter will be in great hands! The Fairy Godmother's Apprentice will make sure your daughter feels like the most special princess in the room, giving her the care and attention she deserves. They are also exceptionally skilled at styling all types of hair - even short hair! My best piece of advice would be to bring a small bottle of hairspray with you into the parks in case you need to touch up a few pieces throughout the day. Your daughter will also receive shimmering makeup, a face gem, nail polish, and some extra goodies (like a princess sash and cinch sack)! While your options may be a bit more limited with short hair, your daughter is sure to have a memorable, magical experience unlike any other and she will leave feeling just as beautiful as someone with Rapunzel's long locks.

So the big question: is it worth it, even with short hair? Well, that's a question that only you and your daughter can answer! If you're looking for an opportunity that adds a sprinkle of pixie dust to your trip, where the experience is just as enjoyable as the outcome, and for a period of time where your daughter can truly feel like royalty, then I would say yes. I was able to visit Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique with my nieces a few years ago and seeing these sweet, shy girls come out of their shells and walk around Magic Kingdom Park with newfound boldness and confidence will be a special memory I always keep tucked away in my heart!

Ashlee, Walt Disney World Resort is truly amazing when it comes to making sure all Guests can experience the parks without missing a minute of the magic. I visited Walt Disney World Resort this past May with my mother who has mobility needs and I was so pleasantly surprised by the ways her needs were accommodated. You may want to consider learning about the Services for Guests with Disabilities to see if there are any options you may want to take advantage of. For example, if you'd like to ask about any accommodations your daughter may benefit from while at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, you can call the team at Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com.

I'm sending you all the faith, trust, and pixie dust that your upcoming vacation is extra magical! And if you have any other questions, please visit us again.

    Have the BEST. DAY. EVER!
