Hi, Lynn!
I am so happy to hear you are planning a big family vacation with
Disney Cruise Line. There is so much to do for guests of all ages, so cruising with Captains Mickey and Minnie is a great option for your family.
Because your daughter has a total of 6 guests, they will need to book 2 rooms or a larger suite in a
category that will accommodate the whole family. Due to safety procedures, there is a
maximum that will be allowed in a standard room, even if one guest is an infant in a pack and play.
One option that might work is if one of your grandkids stays with you. You might even want to consider
connecting staterooms so the kids can bounce back and forth easily. I suggest
calling Disney Cruise Line to see what your options are and connecting room availability. They will be happy to get everyone booked in the correct rooms and link your reservations together. My parents often cruised with my family when my kids were young, and we loved the convenience of connecting rooms (and having grandma and grandpa close by to help with the kids!)
Once onboard, the three older kids will have a blast at
Disney's Oceaneer Club. There are scheduled activities such as dance parties, movies, crafts, and more. When my daughter was younger, she loved the clubs and spent most of her cruise making new friends while at sea! Stop by after boarding your ship for a tour and to sign-up for the fun!
Wishing you and your family a magical cruise! Stop back to your pals here at planDisney if you have planning questions as you get closer to your sailing. Bon Voyage!
