My daughter and son-in-love are moving to LA this fall. We are all Disney fans and I’d love to gift them with passes to Disneyland so they can visit soon after they settle in, hopefully to give them at Christmas. What is the best way to do this?

Hey there, Lydia! Welcome back to planDisney! It has been quite a while since you have come to us with a question, and we are thrilled that you are back!

How exciting that your daughter and son-in-law are moving into Disneyland’s backyard! I am sure that they will be so excited to get Magic Key passes!

The best way to give your generous gift would be to purchase Disney Gift Cards in the amount of the pass to be purchased. I would highly recommend the Dream Key, as it does not have any blackout dates. You can sometimes purchase Disney Gift Cards at a discount at warehouse club stores and combine them on the Disney Gift Card website. This is one of my top budgeting tips for my Disney vacations!

I love to give creative gifts as well. Maybe you could purchase them some Mickey Mouse ears or cute t-shirts to include with the gift cards at shopDisney. Or, print out your own “voucher” for their Magic Key. I am sure that your gift will be well received this Christmas!

Thanks for visiting us with your question! Please come back real soon!

    Happy Gifting,

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
