    My daughter has a skin condition and had issues every time trying to gain park entry. We are going again in January is the magic band the only other option?

    I am so happy to hear that you will be vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort! I fully understand your concerns regarding potential skin sensitivity towards the MagicBands as my son initially had some issues wearing one. 

    Jamine, the good news is that the MagicBand or MagicBand+ devices are one of a few ways to access Disney magic during your visit. You are welcome to use a physical theme park entry card which you can request at the Front Desk of your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, any Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket window, the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs, or, you can create a Disney MagicMobile pass to access your theme park admission from your digital wallet on your mobile device – the choice is yours based on your travel style and preferences.

    I would keep my son’s MagicBand looped around my messenger bag strap, or sometimes I would wear his MagicBand along with my own. Many Walt Disney World Resort shops that sell MagicBands also sell MagicBand Keepers that store the centerpiece of the MagicBand. The centerpiece can attach to a lanyard - just another way to wear a MagicBand without having to wear it around the wrist.

    Tips:
    The Walt Disney World Resort - 50th Anniversary Celebration continues into March 2023 and Disney After Hours events will be returning in the new year at both Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These are separately ticketed events where Guests enjoy additional hours beyond regular park hours at Magic Kingdom Park and at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and offer select beverages and treats such as popcorn and ice cream (subject to change). As these events offer limited capacity, Guests typically experience reduced wait times for select attractions and best of all the special event After Hours tickets will grant Guests theme park entry as early as 7:00 PM.
