My daughter has a severe coconut (and tree nuts) allergy. Does the popcorn from the popcorn stand in Disneyland Paris uses coconut oil to make the popcorn?

    Welcome to planDisney, Dan-Thuy!

Thanks for allowing me to play a small role in your upcoming Disneyland Paris vacation!

You're just one month away from Main Street, U.S.A., so it's the practically perfect time to finalize your packing list. Which, for a family that must be conscious of allergens when traveling, often includes snacks, so you've asked a great question. I reached out to a friendly Disneyland Paris Cast Member who shared that dietary information for offerings at food stands is not accessible beyond the theme parks, so he suggested speaking directly to a Cast Member at the popcorn cart upon arrival for the most accurate and up-to-date information on such a serious matter.

In an effort to help you prepare in advance, I did a bit of research online, and recent Guests reported that the popcorn was indeed popped in a blend of coconut oil. It's likely (but not guaranteed) that this will still be the case during your visit, so you'll want to be prepared with an alternative theme park treat for your daughter.

When looking to enjoy something aside from popcorn, be sure to let a Cast Member know about any allergies before ordering so that they can share which menu items will be safe for your family to enjoy. I also suggest reviewing the Specific Dietary Requirements page on the Disneyland Paris website and this Practical Guide for Food Allergies before your visit, so that you can head into the magic with peace of mind.

Before you go, I wanted to remind you that you'll be visiting during Disney Enchanted Christmas, and this seasonal celebration is filled with delightful sights, sounds, and tastes of the holiday season. Because the menus for these limited-time offerings are not always available online, you'll want to be extra diligent when inquiring about possible allergens, but these delightful treats are always worth the effort.

I hope this information gives you confidence as you plan, Dan-Thuy, and that your visit to Disneyland Paris is filled with magical moments that you'll cherish forever. If any other questions arise as you plan, feel free to come see us again here at planDisney. We're always happy to help!
