My daughter is very sensitive to noise. Is there a way to disable the bathroom fans in the hotels so they aren’t activated by motion?

Hi Sarah! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

I completely understand your concern. Loud bathroom fans and continuous flushing can be unnerving for many. I can report, however, that in my recent experience at Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, I do not recall either room featuring a loud motion-triggered fan. Late-night bathroom trips weren't disturbing anyone in the room! In some cases, a fan might be integrated into the light fixture.

Of course, everyone's needs are different. If you have concerns about your specific Disneyland Resort Hotel's facilities, I suggest calling the hotel to speak to a Cast Member. Friendly Cast Members at the iconic Disneyland Hotel, the gorgeous Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and the uniquely themed Pixar Place Hotel should have details they can share with you about your room type. Hotel webpages display the phone number for Guests to call.

Also, you might check out this guide to Restrooms in the parks. It provides information that you might find useful while enjoying the magic of the parks. Depending on your daughter's age, you could find the Baby Care Center to be a good place for a bathroom break. These tend to be darker and less chaotic than the average park bathroom, and they also include smaller-sized toilets.

    I hope this helps!
