My daughter seems to think Magical Express would be a good experience for my grandson. Can you use this service if you take a private plane to the airport?

Magical Express is a great option for travel from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World resorts.  There are several locations where private jets and planes come in but they will not be attached to the main terminal buildings.  One location is near but across the runway fields and the other is actually closer and you land at Kissimmee Airport.

The Magical Express service is for those passengers who are arriving on airlines that service Orlando International Airport.  Participating airlines will have luggage sent directly to resorts so arriving guests will by pass the baggage pickup and go directly to the Magical Express bus area.  You cannot make a same day reservation for this service.

If traveling by private aircraft your best bet is to either take a taxi to your resort which will cost approximately $50-$60 or by hiring a private car via a company such as Mears Transportation.  I have done both but prefer the private car if there is a lot of luggage to deal with as they will help you with all of that.  The cost is about double but it is a nice service and they will be waiting for your arrival versus you waiting on a taxi to be called.

Flying into Kissimmee Airport is the closest location and the trip to a resort will take about 20-25 minutes. Flying into the private area near Orlando International Airport will take about 30-45 minutes.

Oh and don't worry...your grandson will have many opportunities to travel on Disney busses as you navigate from your resort to all of the Disney parks!
