Hello, Dawn, and welcome to planDisney! You must be so proud of your daughter for saving up to visit
The Most Magical Place on Earth! Her trip is only weeks away, so I know she is getting excited! I'm happy to help you with your question.
There are different types of
Disney Dining Plans offered. It sounds like your daughter took advantage of the
special offer that includes a free quick-service meal per night of stay at a Disney value resort. She will be able to purchase other meals and snacks separately, and boy, does Walt Disney World have
a lot to choose from! If she's looking to save money, I recommend she use her free meal for lunch or dinner and eat at quick-service locations for her additional meals.
I've got good news! I think your daughter will find that Walt Disney World is very accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions. She should check out
this webpage for information on dietary requests and what to look for on menus. At any time, if she has a question or concern, your daughter should speak with a Cast Member. She can also find menus to all of the Walt Disney World restaurants
here, so she can plan accordingly. I recently answered a question for another guest about eating gluten-free on the dining plan. You can read that
here.
I definitely recommend she check out
Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC in
Disney Springs. The entire menu is gluten-free! And while she's at Disney Springs, she will likely want to stay a while because there is so much to see and do!
World of Disney has the largest selection of Disney merchandise anywhere, and
DisneyStyle is one of my favorite stores to find a souvenir.
I hope this is helpful, Dawn, and that your daughter has the most magical time! If either of you has additional questions, please reach out to us. We are always happy to help here at
planDisney!
Always dreaming -
