Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    My daughter is running the WDW Marathon 2016. What bathroom facilities are available if we don't choose the Gold or Platinum Chear package? Also, does it makes sense to purchase the Platinum package if she didn't sign up for the Race Retreat?

    Here is my advice on ensuring you have access to restroom facilities when spectating your daughter without a ChEAR Squad Package. 
    • Spectate along MainStreet USA near the train station hub across from the Main Street Confectionary store. Not only is this location on a curve, making it easier to spot your daughter, but the City Hall Restrooms are right behind you. If you end up further down, there are restrooms near Casey's Corner. 
    • Champion Stadium at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. At this location, you have access to food, drinks, and restrooms all while you get to sit inside the stadium and watch runners run the entire warning track.
    • If you want to try and find a location along the fencing near the finish line, you can always walk back to the Family Reunion Area to use the Porta Johns. 

    The Platinum ChEAR Squad Package would still come in handy, even without your daughter purchasing the Race Retreat.
    1. You have a place to go while she is running in the event of cold or inclement weather. 26.2 miles equates to several hours of you waiting to see her big finish. You would have access to complementary food, beverages and restrooms. 
    2. You would be able to enjoy the tent until about 45 mins prior to her finishing, when you would then make your way to the reserved grandstand seating at the finish line. Using the Runner Tracking tool will help you to know exactly when to head over there. 
    3. Once you see her finish, you could meet her in the Family Reunion Area and head back to the resort. She wouldn't need the Race Retreat unless she wanted access to the tent before/after her race. Having the Platinum package for you, would make for a much more enjoyable spectator experience.
