My daughter will be running in the Princess Half Marathon 2013. Is there any advantage in staying at an Epcot Resort such as Beach Club since it is closer to the start of the race?

Hi Carol!  The Princess Half Marathon is great!  Your daughter is going to love it!

There is really not a huge advantage to staying at an Epcot resort.  All of the host resorts will have bus transportation to and from the race events.  You would have to take a bus to the start since Epcot wouldn't be open to walk through.  After the race, you would be able to walk back to your resort by walking through Epcot and out the back entrance that takes you to those resorts.  This would require a park admission ticket though.  It would be fine if you planned to spend the day at Epcot anyway.

So, while it won't be a big advantage, I do have to say that the Epcot resorts are my family's personal favorites.  I love that area around the Boardwalk, and I love being able to saunter over to Epcot anytime.  But as far as race logistics, any of the host resorts will be convenient.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
