My daughter will be running the Disney Run 5k in Disneyland Jan 2025. I saw the course map and see that the finish line is in California Adventure. Will I be able to see cross the finish line? Is there an extra pass I need to purchase?

On your mark, get set, cheer! Welcome to planDisney, Stephanie. Thanks for sprinting by to share this question with us. We're a mere month away from approaching the start line of the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend, so let's get to your question to make sure you're prepared.

I'm so excited to hear that your daughter will be logging some magical miles and participating in the Disneyland 5K over the weekend. There's nothing like the feeling of running through the theme parks before they open. Having a family member supporting you and waiting for you at the finish line to share in your accomplishment is the cherry on top.

There's some great information on the Digital Event & Expo Guide on the runDisney website. It looks like spectator viewing for the 5K will be near the finish line at Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure Park. For access, enter through the gate near World of Disney in Downtown Disney District. If you happen to attend the Expo with your daughter, I recommend stopping by the information booth to confirm this with a friendly Cast Member in addition to asking if there's anything else you need to know for the morning of.

Your daughter is going to have an amazing time. I love seeing all of the costumed runners and stopping to meet and greet with some of the cutest characters along the way. Let your daughter know that when she sees bright lights ahead on the course, it usually means there are Disney PhotoPass photographers snapping pictures ahead. Smile big and make sure that race number is showing so she can collect all of her photos after the race.

Well, Stephanie, I hope this is helpful as you are preparing for your visit. Please come back to visit us with any other questions you might be curious about. Here's wishing your daughter all the best with the rest of her training and for a magical reunion at the finish line!
