My daughter really wants me to do the Princess 5K with her in 2017. Is this a walker friendly race? I'm no workout person just the occasional walk. Think I could do it? I would feel terrible holding her back because of being to slow.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heidi!

And welcome to the wonderful world of runDisney! The Disney Princess 5K is a fabulous first-time race to consider participating in with your own princess. This race is very walker friendly and also untimed, so there is no need to worry about disqualification or being "swept." However, runDisney does request that participants try to maintain a 16 minute mile pace, which is a brisk walking pace. And if you're looking to the 2017 event, you will have plenty of time to train with a 5K walkers program you can find online.

I know you can do it, Heidi! And with all the fun you'll have along the course, you will have the time of your life.

I hope this helps to ease your mind. And please let me know if any additional questions should come up. As the runDisney Specialist on the Panel, I am here to help you plan and prepare for a magical race experience.
