My daughter and I really enjoy the food festivals in Epcot. This year she was really excited about the beakers at the Light Lab. However, when we went on 09/08/18, they were sadly sold out. Do you know if they will be getting more in and if so about when?

    Hi Paula!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My favorite special event at Walt Disney World Resort is the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival! I love to enjoy all of the amazing food and beverage offerings at each of the festival's Global Marketplaces. There are so many unique and tasty treats available at the festival and it's so much fun to try to sample them all!

One of the unique festival locations for the last two years has been the Light Lab! It's a lot of fun for kids, both big and little, to enjoy some unique beverages in the Light Lab Marketplace. We just visited the Light Lab with my kids last week and we had such a fun time enjoying the Light Lab's experiments. When the festival opened, the Phosphorescent Phreeze was served in a giant souvenEAR beaker. When we were visiting last week, the lab's scientists were doing a different experiment and the Phosphorescent Phreeze was served as a flight where each flavor of slushy was served in a separate cup. Unfortunately, this new experiment does not include the beaker, but each cup does come with it's own souvenEAR glow cube.

No information has been released indicating whether the scientists will go back to their original experiment and return to serving the Phosphorescent Phreeze in a beaker during this year's festival, or if the experiment change is here to stay. If your daughter is still interested in enjoying an experiment at the Light Lab, I recommend either the InfraRED or the UltraVIOLET as my kids really got a kick out of watching their experiment being made with cotton candy right in the drink!
