    My daughter is planning her sweet 16 in Disney World and I wanted to know if there is any special events i can plan to do with her and her friend?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Celebrating a birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort is just about as magical as it gets. Your daughter's special day is sure to be unforgettable! 

    One of the most unique ways to celebrate your daughter's sixteenth birthday would be to book Wild Africa Trek in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. This one of a kind Tour allows you to get an up-close view of some of the animals on the savanna. You'll cross over a rope bridge and get to dangle over hippos and crocodiles while safely secured to a harness. You will also get to snack on African inspired cuisine while overlooking the gorgeous savanna. Your Trek Tour Guides will take photos and capture your memories during this adventure and, at the end of the Tour, you will receive a photo code that you can use to access and download images (included in tour pricing) taken during your Wild Africa Trek experience. It's truly an amazing experience! Reservations can be made 180 days in advance of your Resort stay by calling (407) 939-8687. I recommend booking the first Tour of the day since the temperature is cooler in the mornings; there will be more animals out and about.

    Another special way to celebrate would be to book Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise. The Cruise takes place aboard the iconic General Joe Potter ferryboat. You'll enjoy a voyage full of delicious desserts, specialty beverages,(with and without alcohol) and a gorgeous view of the Wishes nighttime spectacular. Advanced Reservations are required and highly recommended and can be made by calling (407) 939-3463. Admission is $99 for adults and $69 for children ages 3 to 9 years old.
