My daughter and I are planning on going back to Disney World on December 6th, 2020. I am getting mixed answers from chat online, and phone calls. So wondering if anyone knows how far in advance I can book either room only reservation or vacation packages?

    Hi there, Nicole!

Let there be no confusion on our watch. The Disney Parks Moms have your back.

If you are booking a Walt Disney World resort hotel room only reservation, you can do so up to 499 days in advance by calling 407-939-1936 and speaking with a cast member. Theme park tickets and a Disney Dining Plan can be added at a later time to complete your package.

Magic Your Way Vacation Packages are a bit trickier. In recent years, package prices have been released and guests have been able to book them beginning the summer before the new year, So, last year, for example, packages for 2018 became available to book in June of 2017.

My opinion is that if you have your heart set on a specific resort, book your room as soon as you have that piece in place. You can always add the tickets and dining plan later on, but you'll have your resort choice locked in. You can also keep your eyes peeled for special offers that might come up about six months or so before your vacation.

Have a wonderful time planning, Nicole. I think that's where half the magic lives!
