My daughter would like to take a picture in front of the castle in her Quinceanera dress. Is this allowed and how do you take the dress in, in a garmet bag or a suitcase? We will be celebrating her birthday this weekend in Disney

    Hi, Amanda! Welcome to planDisney!

A magical photo in front of a castle is absolutely perfect for your birthday princess! And of course, only the most iconic castle of all will do for your daughter's big day!

Amanda, I think for this extra-special occasion, your daughter deserves the extra-special attention of Disney PhotoPass photographers with a Capture Your Moment session at the Magic Kingdom Park. You can set up a 20-minute photo session that will make your young lady feel like the star of the show (because she is!). You'll find the phone number to book your session in the "Know Before You Go" section of the Capture Your Moment - Magic Kingdom page on the Walt Disney World website.

Now, let's chat about that all-important dress! We'll need to check the Park Rules & Regulations for guidance, because there's a size limit to the bags you can bring into the theme parks. Specifically, any bags or suitcases must be no larger than 24" long by 15" wide by 18" high. If you can fit the dress into a bag that meets those requirements, you should be okay on that front. Also, if you do book a Capture Your Moment photo session, note that "wedding attire" is not allowed, so if the dress you and your daughter have chosen could look like a wedding gown, I'd be sure to describe it to the Cast Member when you call to book.

I hope this helps you come away with some truly dreamy photos for your daughter's quinceañera, Amanda! Feliz Cumpleaños to your princess, and I wish you and your whole family a magical celebration at Walt Disney World!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
