Ahoy, Eric!
There are lots of things to consider when choosing a Disney Cruise: When do you want to go? What ports would you like to visit? Which ship do you choose, and for how many nights?
Honestly, there's no wrong choice when choosing a Disney ship for your voyage! All four ships are incredible, and there are Disney details that make each one special. While the Dream and Fantasy are the newest additions to the
Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Magic recently underwent a major makeover, updating many spaces on the ship. With the addition of the AquaDunk body slide to the pool area, the Magic is a great choice for thrill-seeking teens and tweens!
Edge is a fun lounge, exclusively for tweens ages 11-14, found on all four Disney ships. While the size and decor may differ between ships, awesome activities and energetic counselors will be found across the board. It's true that Edge on the Dream and the Fantasy is a bit larger and more modern, but the clubs on the Magic and Wonder are equally as fun and engaging for the kids! With unique guided activities throughout the day, your daughter will be able to enjoy fun games, hi-tech entertainment (video games, computers, etc.), dance parties, scavenger hunts and cooking activities with kids her own age. My daughter just turned 14, and she loved visiting Edge on our last few cruises.
I'm with you - the Western Caribbean itinerary looks awesome! The good news is, you have plenty of options to choose from with three Disney ships sailing to this area over the next year. Whether you choose the Disney Magic, the Disney Wonder or the Disney Fantasy - you're in for the trip of a lifetime!
Please come back with any further questions as you plan - we're happy to help!
Have a magical day! - Diane W.
