Laura:
I think you are looking for Character Dining with what Disney calls "Face" Characters vs. the stuffed kind...you know, Pooh, Tiger, and sadly, Mickey.
I would recommend the Character Dining Experiences that feature the princesses, all "face" characters. These would include the Princess Dining at Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus, and 1900 Park Fare.
If I had to choose a favorite it would be a tie between
Akershus for breakfast and
1900 Park Fare for dinner. Reservations for both are easier than securing one for the more expensive Cinderella's Royal Table and the Character interaction is better, in my opinion.
Why Akershus? It's Royal Banquet Hall is larger and less crowded than Cinderella's Royal Table; it's breakfast just as good for a lot less in price; and, while they are introducing more princesses to Cinderella's Royal Table, the jury is still out. Best of all, if you make an early reservation, you can get into Epcot before anyone else for a relaxing walk through the park. FYI: If you have a picky eater--even an adult--be aware that the dinner here is more authentic than some like, hence, my breakfast recommendation.
Why 1900 Park Fare? You not only get Cinderella, but you also get to see her dance with Prince Charming (and some lucky princes and princesses from the audience). And did I mention the funny Wicked Step-Sisters and their Mother?? Again, if you have a picky eater, there's an ample buffet. I recommend dinner with Cinderella over the
Supercalifragilistic Breakfast with the Wonderland characters because the new version of Alice in Wonderland wasn't, well, my cup of tea.
Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
