    My daughter is not 18 and would like to create an account for herself since she will be performing at Disney. She still has an old magic band she would like to link to her own account that is currently being managed by me. How should we go about this?

    Welcome to planDisney, Siohbhan! How exciting for your daughter to have an opportunity to perform at the Most Magical Place on Earth! I know you must be beaming with pride for her to share her talents! My girls are teenagers too, and we recently went through this exact process to transfer their managed My Disney Experience profiles to them so they would have ownership of their MagicBands and be able to more actively manage upcoming plans! I'm happy to walk you through the process!

    Shiobhan, as long as your child is at least 13 years of age, you can help her take over her managed profile by following these steps:

    • First, have your daughter create her own My Disney Experience account.
    • Once her new account is active, visit her managed profile under your Family & Friends List on your My Disney Experience mobile app and select Send Email.
    • Enter the email address associated with her newly created account. This will send her a request to connect, and when she accepts the request, all previously managed details of her account will transfer to her newly created account, including her MagicBand.
    • Once the request is sent, have your daughter accept it to complete the process!
    That's it, Siobhan! Now your daughter will be able to use her old MagicBand, access all of her existing plans and reservations, and navigate the magic on her own!
