Howdy, Emma! Welcome to planDisney!
While Walt Disney World is understandably famous for its theme parks, there is much more to explore around the resorts. One such place is the
Tri-Circle-D Ranch located at the
Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness. You’ll want to mosey on over there for all this equestrian.
For the horseback trail ride at Tri-Circle-D Ranch, the
list of rules and requirements says that all participants must be 9 years old or older and at least 48 inches tall. So, unfortunately, even if your daughter was tall enough at the time of your visit and is a skilled rider back home, I’m afraid that the age requirement will prevent her from taking the trail ride.
Luckily, that’s not her only option, though! Tri-Circle-D Ranch offers
pony rides for cowpokes ages 3–9 years old, under 80 pounds, and no taller than 48 inches. There are also group
wagon rides available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM (schedule and availability subject to change), which depart from the nearby Pioneer Hall. You can also book your own
carriage ride, which fits up to 4 adults, or 2 adults and 3 small children.
If you have more specific questions about the activities at the ranch, you can speak with a helpful Cast Member at 0800 028 0778 (UK).
Emma, I hope this information helps you plan an amazing Walt Disney World holiday. Don’t hesitate to come right back if you have any other trip planning questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!
Happy trails and magical travels!
Matt
