My daughter will be 20 months when we travel to Walt Disney World and we have booked some restaurants so we can eat later when she will be asleep in the pram but I have seen you are normally required to leave your pram outside, is this correct?

    Hi Abbie!

Traveling with younger children can often need extra planning. It definitely sounds like you have been thinking ahead and trying to figure out the best schedule for everyone in the family.

When making Disney Dining Reservations you will need to include everyone in the family in the number for the reservation. This includes small children even if they are not going to be eating. This is due to the space needed to seat your group. This is also the reason why many restaurants can't allow prams or strollers inside. The aisles are small and the room between tables is often very cramped. It is simply not safe to have strollers taking up the room where the serving staff must walk.

If you arrive at your dining location and your child is asleep you can talk with the cast members at the check-in podiums. Let them know you have a sleeping babe and sometimes they are able to accommodate you with a table where you can bring the stroller inside with you. Of course this is not a guarantee but it is worth asking.

After traveling with young babies and toddlers for many years I have found that children will often decide on their own schedule during a Disney vacation. When you think they should be sleeping they don't and when you thought they would be wide awake they sleep. So no matter how good your plan seems in advance you just might have to go with the flow when you get there. But in any case I know you will have an incredible trip and have many memories to take home.
