My daughter will be 13 months old when she participates in her first RUNDISNEY race this Nov. I’ve noticed that the diaper dash is for up to 12 months, and the 100 meter is for ages 1-4. She isn’t walking yet - will she be able to do the diaper dash?

Greetings Jen! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'd be happy to assist you with another vacation planning question.

How exciting that you plan to share the fun and whimsy of a runDisney event with your little Mouseketeer! Foodies and junior chefs alike are sure to have a great experience at Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend in November. I participated in this event a few years back, and it was a delightfully delicious good time! I suggest immersing yourself in the theme of the weekend as much as possible. My sisters and I wore outfits inspired by our favorite chef, Princess Tiana, and many guests dressed in the spirit of Disney culinary masters. Think about your favorite Disney kitchen pro! Chef Remy? Chef Louie? Alfredo Linguini? There are so many possibilities!

I spoke to a runDisney representative who confirmed that your little princess will be eligible to participate in the Diaper Dash for Crawlers at the age of 13 months. Simply select that race when completing the registration form, and if you have any problems, contact a friendly runDisney Cast Member at 407-939-4796.

Once your races are set, let the planning begin! Remember that for your November trip, you will be able to make Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days before your arrival and FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance of your check-in date if you are staying at an onsite Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. For Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, I recommend booking an EPCOT area resort if possible. It's so convenient to be walking distance or a short Disney Skyliner flight from the action of World Showcase during this festive time. Since you will be traveling with a little one, I also recommend familiarizing yourself with the locations of the Baby Care Centers in the theme parks; they are a fabulous resources for parents of infants and toddlers.

I hope this has been helpful, Jen. If any other questions come up as you continue planning your adventure to the Most Magical Place on Earth, please come back and see us again. We're all ears!
