    Hi Heather!

What a wonderful question!  You are going to have such an amazing time sharing the magic with your little princess and creating priceless memories you'll cherish forever.

My daughter is very shy and I worried about the same thing when we visited last spring.  Luckily, the characters are extremely familiar with this type of situation and are masters at getting even the most scared or shy children to warm up to them.  My daughter was very bashful and frightfully hid her head on my shoulder, but after watching the other children interact, her curiosity got the best of her and she began to slowly warm up to the experience.  The characters will adjust their level of interaction based on her comfort level.  They'll even do fun games, like peek-a-boo, to help her feel more at ease with the whole situation. Should she still feel scared or unhappy, they won't force it and will give you the distance needed to enjoy your meal. Character Dining is such a fun experience and I hope she truly loves it!

Enjoy every moment of your vacation, Heather, and if there is anything else I can help you with, please send me another question.  I love assisting Guests with their Fairy Tale vacations!

    Magical Wishes,
