Hi my daughter & Mom will be arriving in DW Orlando on 6/22-6/27. Our first trip to DW and she will be 5yrs on 6/25. I know its in 2wks but do you have any suggestions how we can spend our 5 days. Also what parks should we do first & throughout ou

    Hi Pamella!

I'm so excited for your family to experience Walt Disney World for the first time...and even more magical that your little princess will be celebrating her 5th birthday!  You're going to have such an amazing time!

As a first step, I'd start making your touring plan by deciding which park you'll visit on which day.  As a mom to a 5-year old myself, I can tell you Magic Kingdom is the big winner.  You can easily spend 2 full days there without seeing or doing everything.  Magic Kingdom is such an all-around favorite that my family makes it the park we visit on our first full vacation day.  (When we arrive, we head straight back to Fantasyland and do as much as we can there before moving on.)  If you're wanting to hit all 4 parks, that will leave 1 each for your other 3 days, but if you don't have time for them all, my kids enjoy Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios the most.  We like to get to the parks about 30 minutes before opening to enjoy the lower crowds of the morning.

Next, you'll want to make your FastPass+ selections through My Disney Experience for each day you'll spend at a park.  You also won't want to forget about dining plans.  If you haven't already made reservations, you can also do that through the website.  A character meal would be a great way to celebrate your daughter's birthday.

The unofficial site has tons of great touring plans (even with specific ride and FastPass+ time suggestions).  Just look under "Planning Resources" for that information.

I know it's a lot to consider, but I promise that any planning you do before your trip will pay off when you're in the parks.  If you have other questions as you make your plans, just stop back by to ask me or any of my fellow moms (and dads) here.  We'd love to help!
