Hi Stephanie, welcome to planDisney!
Virginia is for Disney lovers and I'm so glad your daughter will be answering magic's call to Walt Disney World Resort during the
50th Anniversary Celebration next week. My daughter is ten and I'm already preparing myself for the trip she will be taking with her Nana in a few years. By raising our daughters in the magic we're preparing them to be brave like Merida, resourceful like Rapunzel, and independent like Tiana. I'll do my best not to be jealous like Lady Tremaine or selfish like Mother Gothel.
The mom in me wants to make sure your daughter has
valid admission and a
theme park reservation for each park day, which are currently required for theme park entry. A
method of entry (MagicBand, admission card, and/or Disney MagicMobile pass) is also required, though it sounds like she may already have that covered.
MagicBands are linked to individual
My Disney Experience accounts as opposed to individual trips. This means your daughter's MagicBand should work as long as it's
linked to the My Disney Experience account that also houses her admission and theme park reservations. Additionally, MagicBand batteries are said to last two years, though mine is still going strong after almost four. There's no way to tell by looking at a MagicBand if it still has power, so it's probably a good idea to have a backup plan if your daughter's MagicBand is more than two years old.
Admission cards can be obtained at Guest Relations or ticket windows located outside the theme park entrances. She should be prepared to show email confirmation of the ticket purchase, the credit card used to make the purchase, and a photo ID. Alternately, she can turn an eligible iPhone, Apple Watch, or Google Pay enabled Android phone into a method of entry by downloading a Disney MagicMobile pass from her
My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines on the bottom right of the home screen -->
Disney MagicMobile).
I hope your daughter has a wonderful visit next week, Stephanie. Please come back to planDisney when you're ready to plan your next mother-daughter visit, if not sooner!
Mother knows best,
Jennifer
