Hi Lorraine,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The “wicked world” of Descendants is hugely popular in my house too, with that super catchy soundtrack on repeat – “say it louder!”
Mal, Evie, Carlos, Jay, and friends seem to be spending some time on the Isle of the Lost, as they are not available to meet Guests at Walt Disney World Resort at this time. I know my kids are hoping as much as yours that Fairy Godmother summons them to the parks sometime soon!
While it’s not a meet and greet,
Pirate’s League in Magic Kingdom Park does offer a limited-time Uma Package, where children aged 3 and up can get an Uma-inspired makeover from a Pirate Master. I also saw lots of Descendants merchandise at the
World of Disney store in Disney Springs on a recent visit, so that might be fun to check out.
What about a Descendants-themed trip around the parks? Find Mal’s mom summoning her powers at Fantasmic! and Evie’s mom lurking outside the cabin on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. While Cruella de Vil and Jafar aren’t usually easily found outside Mickey’s Not So Scary Hallowe’en Party, you could visit Enchanted Tales with Belle and see Ben’s parents, and see Ursula on Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid. You can sometimes find Fairy Godmother outside Cinderella Castle, too!
Lorraine, keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, as that’s where announcements of new offerings tend to appear. I’m right there with you wishing that those popular Descendants characters get their time to “rise up and shine” in the parks soon!
Wishing you a magical vacation!
Robyn
