Ahoy, Deborah!
How exciting you will be cruising on the Disney Wonder for your 7-Night Mexican Riviera cruise. After sailing the Disney Wonder to Alaska, she is officially my favorite ship!
I can SEA why your daughter likes
Captain Minnie. She's rocking the nautical boss look with her white pants and red jacket sporting the captain insignia.
While Captain Minnie has plans to make the rounds on all the Disney ships in the fleet, she may or may not be "working" as Captain on your sailing. Check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for all the character interactions onboard. Character appearances are subject to change, so the Navigator app will be like your personal compass to find
meet and greet opportunities and whether Captain Minnie will be available.
Here is something Captain Minnie themed that your daughter might love: the Captain Minnie Mouse makeover at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, available exclusively on Disney ships. At this salon, children ages 3-12 can transform into their favorite captains. At this time, it's being called the "Captain's Package" and includes a Captain's costume, hairstyling with gel, Captain's hat, and a Captain Mickey/Minnie plush. (All package components are subject to change without notice.) Keep in mind that salon appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to book an appointment early.
Captain Minnie has her own line of merchandise, available exclusively on Disney ships. I especially like the tagline they chose for her: "You Can Call Me Captain." That Captain Minnie plush has your daughter's name written all over it!
If you have more questions prior to your sailing, cruise back over to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'd love to help sprinkle pixie dust on what is sure to be a WONDER-ful cruise!
