My daughter lost her magic band from our trip to WDW two years ago and we are going back again this year. My husband is not going this time and I was wondering if it's possible to transfer his magic band to her.

Hi, Michele! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

MagicBands are non-transferable. Once they are assigned to a specific individual, you are unable to assign them to someone else.

The typical life span of a MagicBand is approximately two years. Depending on exactly when you received your MagicBands, they may not function correctly. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, each person who will be traveling with you will receive a complimentary MagicBand. If you are not, you may purchase MagicBands at many Walt Disney World Resort gift shops as well as the Disney Store. While MagicBands are extremely convenient, keep in mind they are not a requirement. Your valid Theme Park ticket will also allow you to gain access to the Theme Parks and can be used for FastPass+.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Michele!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
