Hiya Lori,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your MagicBand question! Oh, I completely understand how you’re feeling — we’ve been right there too! My daughter once lost hers during a day full of magic and Mickey-shaped snacks, so I know how quickly those little bands can slip away in all the excitement! But no worries — let’s get you all sorted out so the fun can continue.
First things first, I recommend reporting your daughter’s
MagicBand as lost. You can do this right in the
My Disney Experience app:
- Open the app and scroll down until you see MagicBands & Cards.
- Select your daughter’s name.
- Find the MagicBand that’s missing and tap Report Lost.
Once you do this, the MagicBand will be deactivated to help keep all her information.
Unfortunately, MagicBands aren’t transferable, so another Guest’s old band won’t work for her, even if it’s super cute. But here’s the fun part — this is the perfect excuse to pick out a brand-new MagicBand that matches her personality! Whether she’s all about princesses, Pixar pals, or the Fab Five, there are so many magical styles to choose from in the parks, resorts, and on
shopDisney.com.
Mom tip: I use a MagicBand clip for my daughters — it gives that extra bit of security so the band stays snug even when they’re racing to the next attraction. Because as every Disney parent knows, kids can be full of surprises (and energy)!
Lori, I hope this helps bring a little peace of mind before your next adventure. If you have any additional questions, feel free to visit us again.
See ya real soon,
Christina
