My daughter is looking to go on a field trip with a school club. All of the kids are ages 14-18. How do the minors book a reservation? If it is connected with an older student, will it work?

Hi Michael! Sure wish my school took great field trips to Walt Disney World when I was young.  What a great experience for your daughter!

I am not sure if you were talking about resort reservations or dining reservations.  If this is a school club then I am sure there will be school chaperones and those in charge who should book the rooms. When you have a large group it is best they go through Group Reservations to get the best value and rate. That number is 407-828-3200. The head of the school group would make room reservations for all the students under the group name and as the leader.

If they are asking the students to book rooms on their own you will need to give permission to make the call.
(*If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to dial this number.)   407-939-7675
You will need to book the room using a credit card and understand the terms and conditions so it is often best to be on line if she needs to book her resort room.

For dining reservations a minor can make them but he/she must have permission from the parent.
(Guests under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian's permission to call.)
You can help your daughter obtain these reservations. For many of them she will have to put a credit card down to reserve the time. It does not have to mean it is the credit card used at the time of dining but instead if for some reason she does not show up this card will be billed a cancellation fee. For each restaurant the cancellation policies are printed under the name so be sure and read them and make sure your daughter knows what to do if she should have to cancel. She can make a large group reservation or just those for herself and a few friends. But the owner of the credit card on file takes responsibility for any cancellation fees for the total number of people listed.
