Hey Holly!
Welcome back to
planDisney!
We’re so glad you’ve brought us another question! I see you’ve heard the wonderful news that the Disneyland Resort has started its
phased reopening of the theme parks! Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will reopen to California residents on April 30, 2021. Mickey, Minnie and the rest of their pals are excited to welcome back guests to the Magic of the theme parks!
In order to visit Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, guests will need valid admission and a
theme park reservation. Theme park reservations have begun for existing ticket holders and new ticket sales will begin online April 15, 2021. At this time and until further notice, the theme parks will only be open to California residents and tickets purchased by California residents will not be able to be used by out of state guests. When making a theme park reservation, tickets need to be linked to guest’s
Disney accounts and the system will not allow reservations to be made for guests outside of California. Your daughter will need to make sure that all of her information is up to date on her Disney account before making a reservation but she would not be able to make reservations for guests that live outside of California. In addition guests will need to affirm that they are California residents before proceeding with a reservation.
Well Holly, I wish I had better news for you but hang tight until we have more information as to when these state mandated restrictions will be lifted.
Remember, always believe in the Magic!
