Hi there, Maureen, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
It makes my heart happy to hear that you’re going on a big family Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Some of my very favorite Disney memories have happened during magical vacations with the whole family. From watching my son toddle through Magic Kingdom Park holding hands with his grandma to laughing until our tummies hurt with my niece, Walt Disney World is the perfect place for family together time.
I can understand how crucial it is for you to have a plan in place for your daughter’s safety. When you arrive at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, make a stop at the front desk and explain the situation to a Cast Member. The Cast Member may be able to assign key card access to your room to the family member who will be accompanying your daughter. At this time, I don’t believe two rooms can be accessed via one
MagicBand, but if your daughter is older than 3, her MagicBand could be used to access the room. My advice is to give Walt Disney World Resort Reservations a call at (407) 939-1936. They should be able to listen to your situation and provide options to make these logistics work as smoothly as possible for your family.
Maureen, if your daughter’s allergies are food related, I encourage you to take a look at the
Special Dietary Requests web page. The Cast Members who work in Special Diets strive to make visiting Walt Disney World as low-stress as possible for families with food allergies, so you can focus on enjoying your together time.
Have so much fun planning your family vacation, and please come back and see us if we can help as you plan, dream, and count down to the magic.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
