My daughter was 2 in July, and we are planning her 1st trip in October or December. At home she is still in a crib, but not sure by that time. Would you recommend requesting a crib or bed rails? She does NOT sleep in Pack n Plays...hates them!

    Hi there, Amanda!

Currently, the Resorts on Disney property offer only a very few full-sized cribs. You can request one, but they are limited in availability. It's more likely that you will receive the standard "Pack - n - Play."

There are a couple of options. You an certainly request bed rails to be delivered to your room; while she might be ready for this at home, with a grownup in such close proximity, this might be a good time to audition the bed rails.

You might also want to consider renting a full-sized crib. Several companies in the Lake Buena Vista area will deliver a full size crib and remove it when your vacation is over. Depending upon your home Resort, however, the full-size crib might take up more space than you are willing to give. It might work if you opted for one large bed instead of the two smaller ones, but then you are committing yourselves to the crib and not working with the rails.

There is some time to watch your daughter's sleep habits, though, before you make your decision. And if you go in December, she'll be nearing two and a half -- a big difference from a brand-new two.

Keep your options open and know that in either case, your daughter's sleep needs will be met, ether by Disney or by a trusted local company with experience in just this issue.

    Have a wonderful time!

    See you later, celebrator,
