My daughter is interested in signing up for the Jedi Training Academy. She has limited mobility and might possibly have difficulty standing and wielding a lightsaber or going up any stairs to the stage. Do they accept young Jedis in wheelchairs?

    Dear Alan,
There is something extra special when little girls are willing to use the Force-- and their wit-- to wield lightsabers and battle Darth Vader!
Your young Jedi can most definitely participate in Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple at Disneyland.
I've seen kids in wheelchairs put their skills to the test to defeat the Dark Side plenty of times and I can guarantee that Cast Members will be very accommodating so that all of your daughter's needs are taken into consideration.
The biggest test will be to make sure she gets registered for the training. Slots fill up almost immediately after the Park opens and availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you're able to visit during the Magic Morning hour or Extra Magic hour, I would suggest you take advantage and head straight to the Tomorrowland Terrace adjacent to the Galactic Grill as soon as you arrive.
I hope you have an out-of-this-world experience at the Disneyland Resort!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and May the Force be with you!
