My daughter in-law has a room reservation already. I plan to spend 3 nights and two days in the parks. I will lbedriving. I have my park tickets and reservation for each park. How do I get added to her room? And is there an additional charge?

Hi Maryjane! Welcome back to planDisney!

In just a few days you will be enjoying a family vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort and I am so excited for you! It sounds like you have already done a lot of the planning with your theme park tickets and Disney Park Pass reservations in place. Well done!

Now, let's talk about your Disney Resort hotel stay! You will need to have your daughter-in-law (if she is the main name on the reservation) call Disney directly at (407) 939-1936 to add you to the hotel reservation. There is usually an additional fee and it varies depending on which Disney Resort hotel you are staying at. The Cast Member your daughter-in-law speaks with will be able to tell her the total cost, but in my experience, it isn't usually a large fee. This is an important step to take, not only because Disney has to know how many people are in the room for room capacity safety reasons, but also to give you access to the room and hotel amenities.

Make sure to check out these updated visiting guidelines to prepare for your upcoming stay. There is currently a lot of information about visiting the theme parks and staying at Disney Resort hotels, and I have found that it is super helpful to read through so you know exactly what to expect!

Enjoy your vacation, Maryjane! Please let us know if you have any other last-minute planning questions.
