Hi there, Myriam, and welcome to planDisney! I'm thrilled that you're here with this great question about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. You must be so excited to get settled in today!
Myriam, I'm sorry to hear that your daughter has injured her ankle. I'm happy to report that the Most Magical Place on Earth is also one of the most accessible places on Earth when it comes to accommodating Guests with mobility needs! You'll find the
wheelchair rental facility just inside the entrance of the Theme Parks. When it comes to storing the crutches, I'd see how your daughter feels once she's seated. I've seen Guests hold onto their crutches while riding in a wheelchair, and your daughter will want to be sure she's comfortable holding them while riding. You can always ask a Cast Member for a recommendation, as I'm sure this is a common occurrence. In addition to wheelchairs, many Guests opt for ECVs.
During your visit, you'll find that attractions differ in the ways that they can accommodate Guests with mobility needs. Simply chat with a Cast Member to see what your options are when it comes to transferring in and out of the wheelchair, or using it during the experience.
If you have any concerns during your visit, you can rest assured that you're in good hands with
AdventHealth, the official health care provider for Walt Disney World Resort. They offer urgent care, telehealth, equipment delivery, and more!
Myriam, I hope this is helpful to you as you begin your vacation. Please stop by
planDisney with any other questions you have!
Happily,
Jennifer
