My daughter is 2. Do I have to include her in my party size when making reservations? Just want to make sure that I read one of your responses right...If I booked through Southwest Vacations, can I purchase a dining plan separately?

    Hi Andrea,

This is a great question!  As you probably know, children under the age of 3 eat FREE at The Walt Disney World Resort when sharing with an adult or dining at buffet-style locations.  That said, it's still very important to include your daughter in the party size when making dining reservations, so you are insured to be seated at a large enough table to accommodate her in her own seat.

To answer the second part to your question, YES, you can add the Disney Dining Plan to your Southwest Vacations package, but you would need to contact Southwest in advance to have this change made to your current package.  I am not sure what their policy states regarding the timeframe for such changes, so I advise you to contact them sooner rather than later.  Also, they will be unable to add any promotional perks such as Disney's Free Dining Package to your reservation, as this promotion is only available through vacation packages booked exclusively through The Walt Disney Travel company and it's authorized Travel Agents.

    Best Wishes,
