My daughter of 4 and my husband and I are staying in an AK villa. They want to purchase a 4 day pass, I want to purchase a 5 day pass. Is this possible?

    Hey there, Elaine!

Welcome to planDisney! A trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth with extended family sounds like an amazing vacation. I am sure everyone is getting excited as you start making your plans and putting together your adventure's itinerary. Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas is an excellent choice to call your home away from home during your family trip. Whether you are staying in Jambo House or Kindani Village, your stay is sure to be spectacular. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is home to fabulous dining choices, relaxing pool options, and of course spectacular African wildlife. You will also find campfire activities, Movies Under the Stars, and unique programming led by animal specialists. There is no shortage of amazing fun happening at this resort, so be sure to include time to explore in your itinerary A resort day or two can add a lot of relaxation and memories to your travels. Okay, on to that excellent question! The answer is both a yes and a no, so let's go through when you can or cannot have different tickets for your travel party!

If your family's trip is booked as a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, all Guests on the reservation will need to have the same ticket type and it must be for the same amount of days. Packages sometimes include Magical Extras or Special Offers, so the tickets can't be modified for each individual Guest.

You can have different tickets for each Guest or family unit if you are booking your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room as a "room only" reservation. This means that you booked the room or suite for your trip as a stand-alone purchase and not part of a package. Each family or individual could purchase their tickets online separately. (You will not add them when purchasing your hotel accommodations.) Let's use your question as an example. You could purchase five-day tickets for you and your husband and link them to your My Disney Experience account. Your daughter could buy four-day tickets for her family online, and then link them to her account. This would allow everyone to have the number of days in the theme parks they desire. You will still be able to have all Guests on your resort reservation and you will still be able to link your itinerary and planning abilities in My Disney Experience. This option also applies if your room or suite is a Disney Vacation Club reservation.

I hope that your upcoming trip is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
