"Welcome home," Lisa and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
Lisa, as a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member, I'm happy to chat with you about how to make your daughter's Disney dreams come true! First, the quick answer is YES! You are certainly welcome to book a trip for your daughter and her husband (
or anyone else you'd like)
using your points. In fact, a few years ago I booked a trip for my friend and her family at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani Village using my Disney Vacation Club Points and it was quick and easy!
To do this, you will proceed with booking like you would any trip of your own except you'll want to make sure to list your daughter as the lead guest on the reservation along with her husband. Then, when you get a confirmation number for that reservation, you'll want to share that number so that your daughter can link the reservation to her
My Disney Experience account. As the points
are yours, you will continue to see the reservation listed when you log into your Disney Vacation Club Dashboard, but your daughter will also see the reservation under her My Disney Experience plans as it will be her trip.
Lisa, as my family grows and our needs change, I continue to be thankful to be a Disney Vacation Club Member as the flexibility to use points in a variety of ways (including for others) is so important to creating a truly personalized Membership.
I hope this information helps as you are not only Mom, but in this case, Fairy Godmother in training! Whether your daughter is staying at the newest Disney Vacation Club property,
Disney's Riviera Resort, or the original spot for Members,
Disney's Old Key West Resort (
or anything in between), I'll be hoping there is Magic around every corner. Please come back and see us here at planDisney with any other questions. We are all EARS!
Lauren
