Hi Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney, where your daughter is in good company! My panelist pals and I are all huge Disney fans here!
Congratulations to your family and your daughter at this very exciting time in her life. I can understand why she'd want her Bat Mitzvah onboard a Disney Cruise, and I'd love to point you in the correct direction. At this time, private functions (such as meetings and parties) are not offered onboard. However, you may be able to arrange for a private function if you were to make a Group Reservation for at least eight staterooms (with a minimum of 16 adults). If your travel party will be large enough for a group reservation, and to find out more about your options, I encourage you to email dcl.contracted.group.sales@disney.com for further assistance.
Your daughter is a great age to have fun all over the ship. She'll have access to
Disney's Oceaneer Club and Lab, and the tween space,
Edge. If she's interested in meeting new friends, Edge will usually host icebreaker activities on the first night onboard. I always encourage my tween to join in on the fun, and hopefully make some connections. Cruise friendships are so fun!
If a Group Reservation doesn't suit your personal needs, you may consider a
Bat Mitzvah at Walt Disney World Resort. Whatever path you decide to take, I hope it's everything your daughter dreams of.
Please keep sailing to planDisney if you have any further questions. My pals and I would love to help!
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
