I would like to take my daughter horse riding for her birthday at fort wilderness, however I don't want to leave my husband and other two children with nothing to do. Are there playgrounds or walking trails close by they could use for an hour? Thanks

Hello again Andrew and thanks for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel where it's aways my pleasure to assist you!
The delightfully rustic Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground are amongst my families most favourite places to stay on Disney property and I can't think of a more beautiful spot in which to celebrate your Princesses special day.  My girls absolutely love moseying on down to visit the horses who call the Tri-Circle-D Ranch home and also enjoy the special treat of Horseback Riding through this peaceful Resort.
Your Mouseketeers and dear husband will find a plethora of things to entertain them whilst they await your return; from the kids Playground to a visit to an Arcade Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is like a holiday destination in it's own right because there's so much to do with plenty of fun activities and recreation for the young and simply the young at heart!  There's also a nice beach area near the Marina where my boys love to play on the swing-ball or you could even check out the Motorised Boat Rentals for a trip around Bay Lake.
Wishing your whole entire family a magical birthday visit.
