Hiya Victoria,
Welcome to planDisney! I cannot lie, there is nothing quite like witnessing your princess transformed by Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices at
Walt Disney World Resort. My daughter still talks about the incredible experience at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and my heart smiles every time I think about it. My little one chose to transform into Rapunzel as well, so your question also brought it all back to me!
Excellent question, though, Victoria. When you think Rapunzel, your natural thought, of course, is her long braid. Since Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices have the extraordinary task of transforming so many princesses at once, they have been limited in what they can offer currently. Currently, there are four hairstyles offered: one is a fuller bun with a curly headpiece added, the second is a bun with a flower halo and colorful ponytail addition, the third is a bun with a bow and a braided headpiece that is adorned to the bun, and the fourth, a classic bun. Unfortunately, a Rapunzel braid is not one of the options currently, although that would be incredible.
I hope this was helpful, Victoria. Before I let you go, I did want to share that if your daughter really has her hopes set on a Rapunzel braid, you can forego the hair portion of the makeover. The Fairy Godmother’s Apprentice can instead do the makeup, nails, and add some pixie dust to her existing hairstyle (the price of the experience will be the same even if you forego a portion of it). My daughter is all curls, so I had planned to let her curls stay down just in case she decided that she didn’t want anyone brushing her hair (she was three at the time). Luckily, I didn’t need to, but I was assured at check-in that I had the option if I needed it. If there is anything else you need, Victoria, please come back and see
us. We are always happy to help!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
