Aloha, Melinda! Welcome back to the Disney Park Moms Panel.
I remember my mom taking me to the
Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show when I was a young boy and like you, this year I will be taking my own daughter to celebrate the Spirit of Aloha (and she's the same age that I was all those years ago).
As far as your picky eater is concerned, if she cannot find something that tantalizes her taste buds among the Polynesian beef ribs, Aloha pulled pork, roasted chicken, or salads drizzled in mango dressing, than I have no doubt that the chefs will accommodate her dietary request to eat from the limited kid's menu of mini corn dogs with tater tots, cheese pizza or grilled chicken or fish. Simply inform the hostess or server when you arrive in Luau Cove of this special dietary request.
And who knows? With all that succulent food served family style in front of her, maybe this will break her picky eating ways.
If a dinner show for a picky eater is what you're looking for however, then perhaps you might want to consider the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Lodge as an alternative. While definitely offering a different frontier-style show filled with singing, dancing and comedy, the all-you-care-to-enjoy meal of fried chicken, ribs, cornbread, salad and strawberry shortcake for dessert may be more suited to your daughter's tastes.
While I remember Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show fondly, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is one of my favorite experiences in all of Walt Disney World Resort.
Whatever we do at Walt Disney World Resort, the most important thing is spending time with our 'Ohana!
