Bonjour Sharon and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Central Florida heat can certainly wreak havoc on us Canadians who aren’t used to it! Adding on a heart condition to the extreme heat, I can certainly understand your valid concerns! Walt Disney World Resort understands that each Guest deserves a magical vacation and the
Disney Parks Disability Access Service Card is just one way that they go above and beyond. If your daughter is not able to wait in a conventional queue, she may qualify for this program. Accommodations are made on a case by case basis at Guest Relations throughout the Theme Parks, which includes a personalized consultation, registration and a photo taken of the Guest using the service. Once registered, you can visit an attraction and receive a return time for you and your party, without having to wait in a regular queue.
If you are looking for ways to keep cool, many of the attractions have indoor queues, which is nice during those mid-afternoon downpours! My children like to visit Quick Service locations and request complimentary cups of water or even ice that they refer to as “popcorn” and snack on that from time to time!
Thanks for your great question and remember that you can also
visit us at the Tribune des mamans des parcs Disney!
