Welcome to planDisney Julie. I love celebrating birthdays while visiting the parks, and a cake is always in order. There are a couple of options I am excited to share.
Your daughter has an awesome Mom for trying to coordinate a cake. I would probably do the same thing if one of my little ladies was away for her birthday. With
Cakes at Walt Disney World Resort, you can have a cake pre-ordered and delivered to participating table-service restaurants. These cakes are in the shape of the boss himself, Mickey Mouse. They come in three different flavors. Dark, milk, or white chocolate. You can also get a special message like "Happy Birthday" or "Congratulations." They are able to feed a group of 4 to 6 guests and are $39. Prices are subject to change. Unfortunately resort delivery is not available for cakes at this time. If the group she is with doesn't have any dinner plans you can also have someone pick up a special cake at
Amorette's Patisserie located in
Disney Springs. This is a real bakery that draws me in each visit to Disney Springs. This location has 5 different Disney character-inspired cakes. You will want to at least order 48 hours prior to pickup to ensure it is available for the day you need it.
Another great idea for her special day is finding out who her roommates are and asking to have them decorate her room with streamers and other fun stuff. Disney-themed or not she will be very excited to see people going out of their way to celebrate her. The All-Star Resorts have awesome resort pools so this swim party sounds like it going to be a core memory.
I hope this information is helpful in planning something for her birthday away from home. If you have other questions please do not hesitate to visit us again and we will be happy to help.
Have a magical day,
Jeremy A.
