Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heather! A mother-daughter cruise sounds totally fabulous to me...especially one on the
Disney Magic with Grand Cayman as one of your ports of call. I was just raving to another Guest about our Grand Cayman Port Adventure to Stingray City. Snorkeling and sailing for the win!
To your question, 18 year olds and up are welcome to enjoy any of the
adult exclusive spaces onboard the ship, including the lounges. However, be aware that Disney Cruise Line does adhere to an
alcohol policy and on your cruise serves those 21+ with proper ID.
My 18 year old daughter falls into this age range, so her next cruise experience can now include these adult exclusive areas and activities, which I am so excited to share with her.
Here are some adults only spots I would highly recommend during your Disney Magic cruise:
-
Quiet Cove Pool-
Senses Spa and Salon-
Cove Café-Dining at
PaloFinally, I’m not certain of your daughter’s age, but Disney Cruise Line has created the 1820 Society, a social group for guests 18-20 years old. (Pretty brilliant name for it, right?) It’s perfect for young adults who have bridged the gap from the Youth Clubs, but still want to connect with people their age.
Check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the daily schedule of these events. Tip: Don’t miss the first 1820 Society event because it’s typically an icebreaker and gives everyone a chance to get to know one another!
I hope your cruise is sprinkled with pixie dust. Have a MAGICal vacation together!
