My daughter and guest are visiting Magic Kingdom on May 1, 2024 in celebration of her 20th birthday. As her mom, is there anything we can order/purchase to surprise her in the park? An experience, or a character, or anything like that?

Hiya, Fayanne, and welcome to planDisney, where we love surprises! You're a thoughtful mom who wants your princess' birthday visit to be extra magical. Let's look at some options to make that pixie dust rain down when she comes to Walt Disney World Resort.

My first suggestion is to purchase a Disney Gift Card that she can use to choose a birthday keepsake or meal at Magic Kingdom Park. You can pick up a physical card at many big box stores or order online for email delivery. Gift cards are always the right size!

If you share plans with your daughter's My Disney Experience Account, you could purchase Disney Genie+ service for her day at the theme park. This would allow her to access Lightning Lane entrances for shorter wait times at many popular attractions.

To do this in your app, tap the "Rides, Shows & Lightning Lane Entry" tile on the morning of her visit. Select "Purchase for Today," and you should be able to choose her as an eligible guest and buy the service for her. You could also use an online banking app like Venmo to send money to cover this service for her and her guest. They'll feel like VIPs all day!

I see you live in the Sunshine State, but if your daughter is staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, check out In-Room Floral and Gifts to see what they offer. You can click on the link to look at their website which offers items like snack baskets, Disney-themed balloons, and more. Your gift will be delivered to the Front Desk where she can pick it up or have it delivered to her room.

Sometimes, the best gift is a tip, so let your daughter know she can pick up a complimentary birthday button at Guest Relations or many shops at Magic Kingdom Park. She can write her name herself or take the button to Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square where they'll paint her name for a small fee. She'll be regaled with birthday wishes from Cast Members and guests, and she might even get a birthday treat at a Table Service meal.

Fayanne, I'm wishing on a star that your daughter has a day full of fun and memories for her 20th birthday! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
