My daughter is 100% Gtube dependent can she go on rides? Can she use a disability stroller with a DAS pass?

Hi there, Melissa, and welcome back to planDisney! I'm happy you've reached out with this question about your daughter's medical needs! Walt Disney World Resort is so special because the amazing Cast Members consistently go above and beyond to help all guests feel included during their vacation, and guests with special medical needs are no exception!

Melissa, I think you'll feel relieved by all of the incredible resources that are available to you as a parent of a child with specific medical needs at the Most Magical Place on Earth. First of all, let's chat about DAS, or Disability Access Service. This service was designed for guests who have difficulty standing in a traditional queue for an extended period of time. You can register for DAS Advance ahead of your visit, and this virtual meeting will give you access to a Cast Member who will talk through your options with you and help you plan your visit. When you arrive at the Disney Theme Parks, stop by Guest Relations to chat about your daughter's needs, and they will make a determination about your stroller. If it fits within the guidelines, you will be good to go without needing to make a stop at Guest Relations!

With your daughter's medical condition, I recommend chatting with her medical provider about their recommendations when it comes to theme park rides. There are so many different types of attractions throughout the theme parks, from simple boat-style rides to rides that mimic a motorcycle! You're welcome to take them on a case-by-case basis, and make a determination based on your comfort level when you approach the ride. Most attractions have an exit near the loading area, for guests who decide that they'd rather not ride.

And, even if you decide that you'd rather not go on a single ride, there is so much magic to behold:

Don't forget that there is a First Aid Center at each theme park that is staffed with nurses and offers clean, private facilities for guests. Alternatively, your daughter might be more comfortable with a visit to the Baby Care Center (also located in each park) - they're not just for babies! Baby Care Centers offer a quiet, air-conditioned place to take a sensory break and purchase any essentials you might need.

Melissa, I'm hopeful that you'll feel empowered by this information and confident to make some great plans for your family for your upcoming vacation. Please stop by with any other questions you have as you continue your countdown!

    See you real soon!
