Hi, Marlou!
I am so excited for your daughter! She is going to have a blast on a
Disney Cruise - hopefully she will bring you back a magical souvenir since you are not sailing with her!
When your daughter is completing her Online Check-in prior to the cruise, she will enter her information such as passport numbers, travel plans, and credit card information so any charges she makes during the sailing will go on her personal account. This allows multiple people traveling together to charge to their own cards. When your daughter purchases something not included in her
cruise fare (specialty coffees, smoothies, internet, or that souvenir for you!) it can all go to her personal folio which will be charged to her credit card on file at the end of her cruise.
So back to your question! Once onboard, your daughter will be able to purchase
Internet Services by logging onto the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Go to "Connect to Internet" and select between
Internet or
Internet + Streaming options. The internet charges will be added to her stateroom account. I think your daughter is going to be having so much fun that she probably won't be spending a lot of time online but having wi-fi will allow her to check her email or post to her social media accounts when time allows!
And a reminder: If your daughter is under the age of 18, please make sure you complete the
Authorization for a Minor to Travel without a Parent or Legal Guardian form. She will need to present the signed form at the cruise port prior to boarding the ship. She will also need a
passport or whatever valid travel documents are required for her specific cruise.
If at any time during the cruise your daughter has any questions, she can stop by the Guest Services desk which is available 24/7. It is nice to know there will be someone to help with any questions or concerns if she needs assistance. Tell her to have a magical cruise and to make sure to order a Mickey Mouse Ice Cream bar for dessert when she is at dinner - yum!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
